Dundee actors reach the Actors Reels studio in Manchester in around four and a half hours, changing at Edinburgh or Glasgow. This is a long journey, so the one-hour session at £295 for up to three monologues is the sensible booking.
Dundee Rep runs one of the last full-time repertory ensembles in the country, which means the actors here get something almost nobody else does: sustained, varied work with the same company over years.
That produces technically excellent performers with genuine range — and, because repertory theatre does not generate footage, no way of proving any of it to a casting director who has not seen the shows.
